The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of Milagres College, Mangalore, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an awareness seminar titled “Patent Infringement & Enforcement Strategies” on November04, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the college auditorium. The session featured Advocate Shruthi M Bangera as the resource person, who provided the key aspects of intellectual property law, focusing on identifying patent infringements, understanding the legal framework for patent protection, and exploring various enforcement strategies. Ms. Bangera highlighted the importance of proactive measures for patent holders to safeguard their intellectual assets, addressing both litigation tactics and alternative dispute resolution methods. Through real-world examples and case studies, she emphasized the impact of effective patent enforcement on maintaining competitive advantage in the market. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, and the participants discussed practical challenges and shared experiences related to patent enforcement. Mrs. Rohitha Melita Crasta, IPR Co-ordinator introduced the speaker, and Mrs. Chethana Kumari, IQAC Co-ordinator, was also present. The event successfully enriched participants understanding of Patent Infringement and Strategies, underlining its significance across academia and business. A total of 135 students were present for the seminar.
